What Our Team Is Saying

“The MedVet residency program was most attractive to me because I am a hands-on learner, and the caseload experience is unmatched anywhere. By the time I was done, I had more than five times the number of cases under my belt than my counterparts in university programs. This experience, combined with the didactic knowledge obtained during my training, allowed me to not only pass my boards on my first try, but to also begin my surgical practice with confidence. The program benefited me in ways that are beyond all imagination; giving me a wildly successful career in Cincinnati and affording me and my family an incredible lifestyle. I owe everything to my mentors for the opportunity they gave me and the knowledge they passed on and am forever grateful.”

Karl Maritato, DVM, DACVS-SA
Cincinnati Residency Program Director & Former Resident

“I truly believe MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program is the future of emergency medicine training. The amount of one-on-one attention compared to a traditional rotating small animal internship allows for a level of experience and confidence in emergency medicine that otherwise would take much longer to obtain. Although it can be a challenging field, my work/life balance has exceeded my expectations. The fact that MedVet invests so much into this program shows how much they believe in it and its future.”

Anna Bentley, DVM
Emergency Medicine Veterinarian & ECMP Participant

“One of the most important factors I considered was workplace culture. MedVet seemed like a great learning environment because I could have mentors in both Ophthalmology and the ER who would push me to grow while always being receptive to questions. I was also interested in a workplace that prioritized respectful, empathic communication, and team building, and MedVet fit the bill.”

Shayna Sosnowik, DVM
Specialty Intern in Veterinary Ophthalmology
